Electrical Insulation Safety Matting

Insulating mats for high & low-voltage electric control panels & switchboards.

Insulating Mats confirming IS: 15652-2006 safety standard with latest amendments

Electrical Insulating Mats made from elastomers (which is a combination of rubber and synthetic polymers) are used as floor covering for the protection & prevention of man and machine from hazardous electric current. These are important PPE for technicians in Industry who deal with Power in any form either generation, storage, transmission, distribution, or consumption.

These are laid down on floors in & around the following area for the safety of workers working on it from Electric Shock.

  • High Voltage & Low Voltage Electrical control panels,
  • Switchboards,
  • Power Transformers,
  • Energy Sub Stations,
  • Generators,
  • Live electric poles.

Classification: Insulation Mats as per BIS Standard IS: 15652-20006 are divided into three classes. Each class has a defined thickness, working, proof voltage, and breakdown voltage.

Class                Thickness                   Grade                     Proof voltage                B/Down voltage

         A                    2.0 mm                      3.3 KV                   10KV/3 minutes                  30 KV

         B                    2.5 mm                      11 KV                      22KV/3 minutes                 45 KV

         C                   3.0 mm                      33 KV                    36KV/3 minutes                 65 KV

Composition: Made from 100% virgin-grade dielectric elastomers, free from any insertions or metallic derivatives.

Color: blue, black, red, or gray.

Surface: anti-skid textured surface to avoid slippery effects; diamond profiles are most famous.

Size: width: 1 meter, length: up to 10 meters.

Working Temperature Range:  -10 °C to +60 °C (recommended range)

Silent Features of Insulating Mats:-

  • Dielectric strength up to 65 KV (class C)
  • In accordance IS 15652-2006 with ISI marking.
  • Insulation Resistance: Up to 1494000 Mega Ohm.
  • Leakage current below 10 milliamperes.
  • superseding rubber mats for electrical purposes as per IS:5424.
  • Fire retardant (self-extinguishing on the removal of flames).
  • Excellent physical properties, strong enough to bear heavy foot traffic, trolleys, tools, and      machinery movement over them.
  • Resistant to a wide range of acids, alkalis, and oils, generally associated with the electrical      industry.
  • Designed for both AC and DC electrical installations.
  • can be pasted or installed permanently on the floor if required.
  • water- and moisture-proof.
  • Approved by leading institutions such as Bis, Erda and Cpri.
  • A test report is provided with every supply.
  • Complete information such as class, voltage rating, manufacturers’ identity, CM/L number, thickness, and batch number is marked on every square meter.

 * We also offer high-voltage-resistant electrical insulation maatting that meets IS, IEC:61111, and ASTM specifications.
