EPDm Rubber Sheet

piece of black color epdm rubber sheet

Epdm rubber sheets offers durability in adverse weather conditions

Ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber, abbreviated as EPDM rubber, is known for its excellent resistance to sunlight, UV, ozone, humidity, water, and weather. We manufacture EPDM Rubber sheets, which can be used  as insulating  pads, seals, strips, gaskets, washers, waterproofing membranes.

The resilience, flexibility and elasticity combined with excellent weatherability make EPDM rubber sheets the most  efficient material for outdoor sealing, lining, packing applications.

Features of EPDM rubber Sheets :

  • Excellent performance under weather, ozone, UV, steam, heat, and sunlight,
  • Good insulator of electric current,
  • Impermeable to water.
  • Superior color stability under UV and sunlight,
  • Maintain elasticity even at very low temperatures (up to -50 degree C),
  • Durable with excellent aging characteristics,
  • Food grades are approved for potable water usage,
  • Compatible with ketones, and alkali.
  • No chipping or degradation in hot or cold water,

Some well-known Applications of EPDM Sheets are Lining of water reservoirs (geomembranes), insulating rooftops, electrical insulation matting, weather-stripping, cable sleeves, wipers, pads, trims of solar panels, gaskets, seals and anti-vibration mounts.

Composition:

EPDM rubber, along with carbon black, fillers such as calcium carbonate, plasticizers, and rubber processing chemicals. We generally prefer peroxide curing over sulfur-based vulcanization for EPDM rubber sheets because it improves thermal stability, aging, compression-set ratio, and color prevention during the curing process.

Size:

Width: up to 1500 mm; length: 10 meters per roll.

Thickness is available in the range of 1 mm to 50 mm. We maintain regular sizes in our inventory, including 2 mm, 3 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, and 10 mm. Additional thicknesses can be supplied upon request.

Surface:

smooth on both sides, or a fabric impression on one side and smooth on the other.

Color:

Various colors are possible; generally, black, red, orange, and milky white are kept in stock.

Technical Specifications: EPDM rubber sheets are available as per the following specifications and variations, depending on the area of usage:

  1. Specific Gravity (gm/cm 3)                         1.1 to 1.60
  2. Hardness (Shore A, ±5)                                 40 to 85
  3. Tensile Strength, (kg/cm2)                          up to 150
  4. Elongation at break, (%)                               up to 600
  5. Compression Set, at 70 °C for 22 hours,   40 to 45
  6. Service Temperature Range,                     -50 °C to +120 °C (up to 150 Degree Celsius for shorter period)

We can formulate material with variations in hardness, tensile strength, elongation at break, and other properties according to your specifications.

 * We also offer sponge (microcellular rubber) sheets and profiles in the required size and shape made of EPDM rubber.

* Additionally, our company provides sheets with one or more layers of diaphragm (fabric reinforcement).

Pricing

Price for EPDM (solid) rubber sheets varies in the range of Rs120.00-Rs340.00 per kg. The cost divisive factor is required material specifications such as Tensile strength, elongation, hardness, Specific gravity, tear resistance.
